Baked Spaghetti

Ingredients

  • 1 16 oz package spaghetti
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 32 ounce jar meatless spaghetti sauce
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 cups small curd cottage cheese, divided
  • 4 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided

Instructions

  1. Cook spaghetti.
  2. Cook meat and onion, drain.
  3. Return to pan, add sauce and salt.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk eggs, add Parmesan cheese, and butter in a large bowl.
  5. Add spaghetti, mix well.
  6. Place 1/2 spaghetti mixture in a 13x9 baking dish, top with cottage cheese, mozzarella cheese, and meat sauce. Repeat layers, cover with foil.
  7. Bake 40 minutes covered at 350°F.
  8. Bake 25 minutes uncovered.
