Bratwurst Sandwiches

Ingredients

  • 10 bratwurst links
  • 3 cans of beer or 1 large sweet onion sliced
  • 1 40-ounce can of sauerkraut, rinsed & well drained
  • 3/4 cup mayo
  • 1/4 cup chili sauce
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped onion
  • 2 tablespoons of sweet relish
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 10 hoagie buns split
  • sliced cheese

Instructions

  1. Brown brats and drain.
  2. In slow cooker, combine beer, sliced onion, and sauerkraut. Put brats on top.
  3. Cover and cook for 3 hours.
  4. In small pan, mix other ingredients together until blended. Open up buns and cover with spread.
  5. Put cheese on top. Put brats on top.
  6. Bake on ungreased baking dish until cheese is melted, about 10 minutes.
