Bratwurst Sandwiches¶

Ingredients¶
- 10 bratwurst links
- 3 cans of beer or 1 large sweet onion sliced
- 1 40-ounce can of sauerkraut, rinsed & well drained
- 3/4 cup mayo
- 1/4 cup chili sauce
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped onion
- 2 tablespoons of sweet relish
- 1 clove garlic
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 10 hoagie buns split
- sliced cheese
Instructions¶
- Brown brats and drain.
- In slow cooker, combine beer, sliced onion, and sauerkraut. Put brats on top.
- Cover and cook for 3 hours.
- In small pan, mix other ingredients together until blended. Open up buns and cover with spread.
- Put cheese on top. Put brats on top.
- Bake on ungreased baking dish until cheese is melted, about 10 minutes.
