Chocolate Flecked Angel Food Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 package (16 oz.) Angel Food Cake mix
  • 1 1/4 cups water
  • 1 package (6 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate morsels
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Prepare cake mix according to package directions. Pour batter into ungreased 10-inch tube pan.
  3. Bake 30-42 minutes or until top is golden brown and cracks feel dry and not sticky.
  4. Invert pan on heatproof funnel or bottle until completely cool.
  5. In a bowl, toss chocolate morsels with cornstarch to coat.
  6. Fold morsels into cooled cake.
  7. Remove cake from pan.

Notes

Makes about 12 servings. Dust cooled cake with powdered sugar if desired.
