Quick and Easy Swiss Steak

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons shortening
  • 4 medium cube steaks
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 14.5-ounce can cream of onion soup
  • 1 14.5-ounce can beefy mushroom soup
  • 1 14.5-ounce can water

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 325 degrees.
  2. Brown cube steaks in shortening.
  3. Place in baking dish.
  4. Cover with sliced onions.
  5. Mix together soups and water.
  6. Pour over onions and steaks.
  7. Bake 45 minutes or until onions are cooked and steaks are tender.
