Savory Slow-Cooked Chicken Cacciatore¶

Ingredients¶
- 1 tbsp. olive oil
- 3 lb. chicken parts, skin removed
- 2 tbsp. Italian seasoning, crushed
- 1 can (28 oz.) crushed tomatoes in puree
- 1 lb. mushrooms, cut in half
- 2 large onions, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup Swanson Chicken Stock
- 1/2 tsp. ground black pepper
- 6 cups hot cooked fettuccine, cooked and drained

- Heat oil in 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook until well browned.

- Stir in Italian seasoning, tomatoes, mushrooms, onions, pepper, and garlic. Pour into 6-qt. slow cooker.

- Cover and cook on LOW 7 to 8 hr. or until chicken is cooked through. Remove chicken to cutting board. Keep warm.

- Pour sauce into 3-qt. saucepan. Stir in stock. Cook over medium-high heat 10 min. or until mixture is smooth and thickened.

- Serve sauce with chicken and fettuccine.
