Strawberry Angel Dessert

Ingredients

  • 1 angel food cake
  • 1 6 oz. box sugar-free gelatin – strawberry (I used regular)
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 2 16 oz. packages frozen strawberries with juice* (unsweetened were tart)
  • 1 tub Cool Whip

Instructions

  1. Dissolve gelatin in boiling water.
  2. Add strawberries, stir and let stand until partially set.
  3. Break angel food cake into bite-size pieces.
  4. Place in oblong or square pan.
  5. Pour partially set gelatin over cake.
  6. Chill until completely set.
  7. Spread Cool Whip over top as you would frosting.
  8. Serve.

Notes

*If unsweetened strawberries are used, calories are 146 per serving and exchanges are 1 starch and 1 fruit.
