Sweet & Sour Red Cabbage With Apples & Ham¶

Ingredients¶
- 1 jar (16 oz.) Aunt Nellie's Sweet & Sour Red Cabbage
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 medium Granny Smith apples, unpeeled, cut into 1/2-inch thick wedges
- 1 cup diced cooked ham
- 3 tbsp packed light brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp ground allspice or cinnamon
Instructions¶
- Drain cabbage.
- Melt butter in large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add apples and ham; cook 1 min, stirring occasionally.
- Stir in brown sugar and allspice; cook and stir 2 min.
- Add cabbage; cook until heated through, about 2 min, stirring occasionally.
Notes¶
Variation: Omit ham for meatless dish.
