Western Omelet with Cheese

Ingredients

  • 2 large eggs OR 1/2 cup egg substitute
  • 2 tablespoons chopped onion
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green pepper
  • 2 tablespoons shredded cheese
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 teaspoon butter (optional)
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Combine eggs, onion, green pepper, cheese, water, and salt in a medium or large Ziploc Brand Zip 'n Steam bag.
  2. Seal bag. Squeeze eggs to break yolks. Continue squeezing bag to combine ingredients.
  3. Place bag in microwave. Cook on full power for 2 1/2 minutes or until eggs are fully cooked and firm throughout, with no liquid remaining. If needed, continue microwaving at 30 second intervals until done.
  4. Allow bag to stand for 1 minute before opening. Carefully open bag and slide out omelet. Fold omelet and season with salt and pepper to taste.
